Digital Product Manager III
Birmingham, AL or Charlotte, NC (hybrid- onsite 3 days per week)
8-10-month contract to hire
Pay Rate: $70.00 - $75.00per hr.


Our client is seeking a seasoned Digital Product Manager to lead the ground-up build of a new digital payments platform (Payment Hub).
This platform will serve as the backend processing engine for digital payments, supporting:

• Mobile banking
• Online banking platforms

• Instant payments
• Real-time send/receive functionality (seconds-level processing)
• This is a high-impact, enterprise initiative with ownership from strategy through execution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product strategy, build, and execution
• Develop the business case and define the implementation strategy
• Act as the central coordination point across all stakeholders
• Partner with:
  • Engineering
  • Cybersecurity
  • Architecture
  • Payments Technology
• Business/Product teams (Consumer, Wealth, Commercial Banking)
• Drive integration with mobile and online banking platforms
• Own product roadmap planning and execution
• Translate business needs into technical and functional requirements
• Manage and own vendor relationships and delivery

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years related experience in digital banking, digital product management, business case development, or financial services
• OR High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) years related experience in digital banking, digital product management, business case development, financial services, or business requirements/analysis Familiarity or working knowledge of project management and/or software delivery methodologies (i.e. Agile)
• Experience building or contributing to large-scale platforms (ideally from the ground up)
• Strong understanding of:
  • Agile methodologies
  • Product lifecycle management
• Experience with:
  • JIRA
  • Confluence
  • SharePoint
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor management experience

Domain & Technical Requirements

• Payments experience preferred but NOT required
• Open to candidates with strong banking/financial services experience
• Must have a high comfort level in technical environments
• Able to work closely with engineering
• Understand system architecture and dependencies
• Translate business needs into technical solutions
