Bonus Potential: Up to $250/month 

 

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional E-Commerce Computer Technician to join our E Commerce - Blue Springs team! Qualifications

  • No degree required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
  • Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Experience performing POST diagnostics on computer operating systems.
  • Knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Experience identifying and recommending computers suitable for refurbishment.
  • Familiarity with Dell and Microsoft refurbishing requirements and standards.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Sort, inspect, and distribute items according to quality standards.
  • Inspect and identify end-of-life computers versus devices that can be refurbished.
  • Install and run software using USB drives or DVDs.
  • Prepare approved computers for the refurbishment process.
  • Ensure high-quality refurbished computers are processed and ready for shipment in a timely manner.
  • Meet daily production goals and performance expectations set by management.
  • Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and work cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
  • Utilize safe work practices through awareness and observation and contribute to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
  • Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
  • Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
  • Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
