Position Summary

At TGIS Catering & Events, our Event Servers are the face of our company. They play a vital role in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences at weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and special occasions. Event Servers are responsible for providing attentive, professional service while ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for throughout the event.

We are seeking energetic, team-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in creating memorable experiences through outstanding service.

Essential Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Deliver warm, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor throughout each event.
  • Represent TGIS Catering & Events with professionalism and hospitality at all times.

Event Setup & Preparation

  • Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet stations, and service areas.
  • Ensure all event spaces meet company presentation standards.
  • Prepare service stations with necessary equipment, beverages, and supplies.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Serve plated meals, appetizers, buffet items, and beverages according to event specifications.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently and discreetly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

Teamwork & Event Execution

  • Work collaboratively with captains, bartenders, kitchen staff, and event managers.
  • Follow directions from Event Captains and Management.
  • Assist with event transitions and timeline execution.
  • Adapt quickly to changing event needs and guest requests.

Breakdown & Cleanup

  • Assist with post-event cleanup and breakdown.
  • Properly pack equipment, rentals, and supplies.
  • Leave event venues clean and organized according to company standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation to and from event locations.
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards.

Preferred

  • Previous catering, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality experience.
  • Knowledge of banquet-style service.
  • Experience working weddings, corporate events, and large-scale gatherings.
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
