Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support to customers, solve complex challenges, and drive product development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, conduct trials, troubleshoot systems, and ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Manage product development projects for existing and new customers.
  • Define customer specifications in collaboration with quality and process engineers.
  • Develop and execute test methods to ensure product quality and meet customer expectations.
  • Oversee on-site trials with production and quality teams.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
  • Document trial processes and product parameters using MES, SAP, Excel, Mini-Tab, and other systems.
  • Troubleshoot systems using deductive reasoning and technical expertise.
  • Generate accurate, detailed, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Deliver presentations and training to customers and internal teams.
  • Mentor employees to support professional growth.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product safety, including Proposition 65, REACH, and heavy metal content.
  • Maintain and manage internal product specification systems in SAP.
  • Travel to customer and vendor sites as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • Support quality complaint investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and optimize raw materials. Product development for existing as well as new customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, process engineering, packaging technology, chemical engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience with data networks troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and implement effectively
  • Proficiency in computers (Windows, Microsoft Office)
  • Industry certification (e.g., CTS) preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
