Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Compensation : $70,000 to $80,000 annually
Location: Lakeville, MN (On-site)
Position Summary
AWC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality function for our two-way radio communication products, PCBAs, and accessories. This role is responsible for ensuring incoming materials, in-process components, and finished goods meet AWC quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep quality experience in electronics or technical manufacturing, and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the day-to-day operation of the QA department.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final pre-shipment inspections.
• Establish and improve inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality processes.
• Monitor quality trends, drive corrective actions, and improve consistency across products and vendors.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain on quality-related issues.
• Manage vendor quality performance and communicate expectations clearly.
• Coach, train, and develop QA team members.
• Support QA systems, reporting, fixtures, tools, and ERP transactions related to inspection and disposition.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing quality, or technical operations.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing or supervising quality teams.
• Strong understanding of inspection processes for electronic products, PCBAs, and finished goods.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage electronics, radio communication products, and related accessories.
• Experience with troubleshooting electronic systems and supporting technical teams.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related field preferred.
• ASQ certification such as CQE, CQM/OE, or a similar quality certification preferred.
Work Environment and Travel
• This is a hands-on role that includes time in inspection, production, warehouse, and test environments, along with administrative and cross-functional coordination responsibilities. Minimal travel may be required.
