Job Summary: The Residential Security Team Agent is tasked with numerous functions by providing support to a protective security detail near Orange County, CA. This detail operates in a dynamic, multi-faceted, and fast paced environment.
Duties: Duties for this detail include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their properties.
- Maintain a knowledge of baseline properties and neighborhood activities.
- Monitor property and area activities and conditions via vehicle perimeter checks.
- Investigate suspicious people.
- Collaborate with other Keelson and client teams to control access to properties and maintenance of security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.
- Ensure 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeep.
- Operate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable laws.
- Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance for all equipment (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.).
- Must possess the ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stay vigilant sitting in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
- Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).
- Must keep a professional appearance, have good personal hygiene.
- Must be responsive via phone call, text, and email as needed to support the team.
Position Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions.
- Prior residential and/or fixed site security experience.
- Physically fit to facilitate emergency responses.
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
- American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED for Adult, Child & Infant certification.
- California BSIS Guard Card.
- California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit with 9mm endorsement
- *All certifications must be current. Employees are responsible for keeping all certifications/licenses active
Physical Requirements
- Ability to patrol all properties and access areas quickly.
- Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
- Prolonged periods sitting of 5+ hours in a car.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to lift, drag a human up to 200lbs or more, if necessary.
- Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, crawl.
- Being able to respond to physical attacks, natural disasters, evacuations.

Desired
- Proficient in the use of social media collection tools in support of protective intelligence.
- Training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance/surveillance detection, covert protection and basic medical support experience.
- Prior training course(s) in residential security or executive protection.
- Prior attendance of a recognized EP school (i.e., ESI, EPI, Oatman, PFC, ITG4, TFTT)
- Advanced emergency medical certification – Active First Responder, EMT or paramedic.
- Customer service experience.
- Experience working with children.
- Regularly active in outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, ocean sports, etc.
Detail Structure
Full-time position
- Weekends.
- Holidays.
- Overtime/additional shifts as needed.
- Quarterly sustainment training - firearms, defensive tactics, medical, driving
Salary and Benefits
- Minimum compensation of $95,000.00 per year
- Shift length 12 hours/day
- Schedule is 4 days on and 3 days off, then 3 days on and 4 days off
- Pay structure per shift includes built-in overtime and double-time in accordance with California and federal laws
